The Mendip Cross Trails Trust, is a charity that creates access to the countryside for all users - including mountain bikers. They have been working for some 20 years opening new and re-opening forgotten bridleways in the Mendip area. Although primarily consisting of members of the horse riding fraternity the Trust is keen to recruit more mountain bikers into its ranks. The Trust's AGM takes place on October 21st at 7.30pm at the Old Down Inn, Emborough, just off the A37 near Midsomer Norton, Somerset. New members, and potential members will be warmly welcomed. The Trust is planning to extend its remit beyond the Mendip area, so mountain bikers keen to see more trails opening up in their area might be interested in attending the meeting to find out more.
